To the editor, you got it wrong on Obama. He is a true American patriot. He only wants to save this country from people like you and websites like yours that lie and cheat. It is a great moment that we have a black president. He has done more for America in 5 months than Bush did in 8 years. He is giving people money, homes, jobs, education, pride, integrity and all the other things that America owes its citizens. This is what a goverment is supposed to do isn't it? I just wanted to answer a question in the following article and give a few thoughts. BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE Documentary or Fiction? -David T. Hardy In the article Hardy points out that violent video games and movies do not cause gun violence, then how can news casts? I say its because movies and video games are for escapism while people use the news to form opinions about the world around them. I also find it very wrong of Hardy to make fun of Moore's weight. It has nothing to do with the matter at hand, and I do not think conservatives like it when liberals make fun of Bush's speech problems. It truly degrades the article to mud slinging. I bet there are lots of overwieght conservatives, so Hardy may be shooting himself in the foot. Otherwise it was a good article that did the important job of showing the falsities in the documentary which I was appalled to hear about. Thats the important thing. hardy gave his opinion, but seperated it from the facts which was essential. Moore fabricated the facts. you can write back at your leisure. I'd be interested to hear your response, but its not too important.

I'm a college student at an art school in Philadelphia and am one of the few who support Bush, so it was nice to read about Moore's lies in his Bowling movie. I love that there are intelligent arguments against Moore and not just random accusations. But I didn't agree when you said Sarandon's views don't matter because she only has a degree in drama.

I don't agree with what she said either but just because she has a degree in the arts doesn't mean she is stupid. Artists are an important part of our society. Other than that I want to thank you for revealing the truth and supporting America. I will visit your site much more and tell many about it. It is tough to defend my views in a room full of liberals who believe anything they here (Moore). I hope that the articles on this website help me to show others the truth as well. Thanks again!

Greetings, I have been a sport hunter (mostly duck hunting) all my life and enjoy using guns for sport target shooting. My entire family and friends have grown up with guns in the house. I am also a veteran US Army, 10th Group Special Forces, stationed mostly at Fort Devins, Mass from 1989 until 1992. MOS consisted as weapons specialist, unit armorer, small arms repair. I've been around guns most of my life. Some weapons which were very deadly. My question to you is this: Do you think by eliminating all the guns in the US, this will stop people from killing each other in the US? With the military, I was trained to utilize other means to kill other than a gun. Knife, rope, wire, even monofilament fishing line. Are we going to outlaw knives after all the guns are gone because people still are killing each other? A gun is just a means of a quicker kill. Only a tool. You say that you welcome comments and suggestions, do you also welcome valid critisisms? I hope so, as the America you defend is famed for its respect of free speech. Your website seems based around an assumption that America itself is inherently good, that the actions of your leaders cannot be bad as they lead America and America is good.

This is clearly not the case when you view the actions of the Bush Administration, and the disasterous effects their foreign policy has had on the rest of the world. You commented on much of Moores films but remained eerily silent on the montage of the U.S.A.'s history of foreign policy (all of which was doccumented fact). America is in the position of hegemony it holds through it'd exploitation of the third world, historically through slavery, recently through military threat leading to political influence. America has in the past supported many hideous regimes, including Saddam Husseins Iraq during the time that it was internationally known that he was gassing the Kurds, Americas betrayal of the Shia (whom they compelled to rise up against Saddam and promised to back up, then ignored) led to the mass slaughters so widely reported on.

These two massive attrocities were America's main argument for attacking Iraq on humanitarian basis (the WMD argument was of course bogus, as every country except USA, UK and a few others concurred at the time). But this is not ancient history, today the USA funds and backs Uzbekistan, whoes leader Islam Karimov boils alive his political opponents as well as anyone that may be gay or Muslim, this is international common knowledge at present but the USA continues it's suppport of the regime because it allows them to build oil pipe lines through it's land. Similarly they backed Saddam through his attrocitys bacause he was providing them with cheap fixed cost oil. When Saddam started to play up with their oil supply the USA about faced and used his attrocities (which they funded) as justification to attack him, as they will use Karimov's crimes as ammunition when he stops playing ball.

While all the Americans I have met have been kind, friendly and genuine people, you are not informed of your governments actions around the world by your media. Last year America's media launched an unprecedented xenophobic attack on France and Germany, and for what? For saying they did not beleieve the evidence presented was strong enough to assume Saddam has WMD, a point which has since been confirmed as true by enquiries both in the USA and here in Britain. Will you now accept that France was right to object to the paper thin eveidence placed before them, and that your media and our governments were wrong and misleading to hype such questionable intellegence, and finally end this Euro bashing?
